About Me

I'm a mother, an artist, a photographer, a writer, and a dreamer. I approach art as I do almost everything in my life: with passion, curiosity, determination, and wonder. (Except for washing dishes, which task obstinantly refuses to be passionate or wonderful.)

At the moment, I live in beautiful Ashland, Oregon, with two of my three kids (ages 19, 17, and 11). However, I hope to travel through the world, experiencing each new place as it unfolds before me, a beautiful, glorious mystery that gradually reveals itself and forever inscribes itself in my heart and soul.

One of my favorite quotes nicely sums up my aproach to life is from the xkcd.com comic strip "Choices: Part 4":

"Take wrong turns. Talk to Strangers. Open unmarked doors. And if you see a group of people in a field, go find out what they are doing. Do things without always knowing how they'll turn out. .... There are so many adventures that you miss because you are waiting to think of a plan. To find them, look for tiny interesting choices. And remember, you are ALWAYS making up the future as you go."
